Shot entirely on a Samsung Galaxy S8, the film embraces a raw, handheld aesthetic to evoke realism and intimacy — blurring the line between documentary and fiction.

🧠 Concept & Direction

Set in an unnamed locality, ASHWIN reflects the quiet unraveling of a teen’s moral compass. There's no villain, just circumstance. The story is built on silence, glances, and escalating tension — told through grounded visuals and stripped-down sound design.

🎬 My Contributions

  • Cinematography
Used natural light, guerrilla camera setups, and handheld movement to reflect Ashwin’s inner chaos and the real-world tension of the environment.

  • Video Editing
Pacing and emotion were key. The edit weaves quiet moments with bursts of intensity, echoing the unpredictability of adolescence. The color grading was kept muted and desaturated to underline the film’s somber tone.
