Designed a suite of user interface elements for mobile game (iOS & Android). The project required creating intuitive, tactile, and visually engaging UI assets, all built using Adobe Illustrator, under a strict NDA.

Overview
I was brought on board to craft custom UI elements that would elevate the gameplay experience while maintaining platform adaptability and visual cohesion. Working closely with the dev team, I developed scalable vector graphics for various interactive elements, ensuring performance and clarity across screen sizes.

Scope of Work

  • Main Menu UI Cards
Created vibrant base screens with placeholder-style outlines for main buttons—engineered to support layered interaction animations.

  • Button Variants
Designed multiple button styles across different material textures (canvas, wood, clay) to match various in-game environments and levels. Each style includes both default and hover/active states for smooth transitions.

  • Pause Menu System
Developed themed pause menus, from log-cut silhouettes to stitched overlays, giving the interface a tactile, diegetic game feel.

  • Iconography
Delivered custom icons like the pause symbol, mimicking physical objects like tree trunks, to enhance immersion in gameplay.

Design Notes

  • All assets were optimized for lightweight mobile performance without sacrificing fidelity.

  • Focused on maintaining playful aesthetics with real-world textures to support the game’s fantasy-adventure theme.

  • Color palettes were chosen based on modularity and readability across various screen lighting conditions.
